Hi! I’m Melba. I am passionate about yoga, supporting you in remembering who you are, and helping you manage stress and anxiety. You have arrived to a safe and judgement free zone where you will receive the love, guidance, confidence and trust to journey inward to the essence of who you are, to learn to live authentically, to learn to show up for yourself and fully step into your power and to live your fullest potential. Through the winding journey(s) you will find more love of self, power, and wisdom.

  • I started attending the Yin Yoga class because I wanted my body to stay flexible and present. What I began to enjoy in Melba's class, apart from the technical cueing and powerful postures for my body, is her smooth way of accompanying movements with information. This information leads you to delve into the spiritual and divine of soul, mind and body.   • Only starting yoga a few months ago, I found yoga very intimidating for I had no prior experience or idea of what classes to take. I found Melba’s various levels of yoga practices perfect for those who are just starting out on their yoga journey! Melba’s classes offer a slower and gentle approach to yoga, perfect for anyone of any skill level. Through slower, controlled breath work, and meditation, yoga has proven to soothe my nervous system and boost my mood.   • I knew absolutely nothing of yoga and forced myself to get into it just as a means of finding a hobby that would help both my body and mind. I met Melba in my first yoga class, not as a teacher, but as a student who was to the left of me. I am so grateful she was there to help guide me and reassure me that I was following along correctly. It made my first yoga class much less intimidating and is probably the reason I kept showing up since I am a fairly timid person.

    Gentle, Slow Flow/Burn, and All Levels yoga classes I have attended with Melba as my teacher. She is encouraging and supportive throughout her classes, reminding you that the hour you spend with her is your practice, specifically for your body and your needs. I've never experienced an environment where it is so selfless, but it is also okay to be selfish, and it is (for lack of a better term) just awesome. There has not been a time where I felt belittled for not being able to keep up. Even when I was frustrated with myself, Melba reminded me that our bodies are all different, and they are different every day and I should be proud for just showing up. She has said multiple times that if you want to stay in child's pose all class that you are welcome to as this is for you and what you need.

    All in all, Melba's yoga classes are filled with positive energy, peace and love. They are rejuvenating to both mind and body, and the energy received in class stays with you the entire day. That energy starts with the teacher, even before class, and she truly does spread light and positivity throughout. You feel how passionate she is about yoga and how much she loves it. It's made me love it and keeps me showing up.

  • I first met Melba in 2023 when I’d just started my yoga journey. Instantly I felt her voice calming and her energy soothing. I was devoted heavily to healing trauma and personal growth. I had no idea what a beautiful road I had ahead of me, and what’s more the incredible mentors I would be led to along the way. I found myself showing up on Monday mornings at 8am without fail. I knew my weeks always started much more intentional and in a softer headspace to take on the days ahead when I did. It was not long before we really connected and started building what I consider to be a lifelong friendship. Her beauty radiates from within. I admire her for always being honest and truthful. I often find myself reaching out for advice or thinking “what would Melba do”.
