True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life. Yoga is not to be performed; yoga is to be lived. Yoga doesn’t care about what you have been; yoga cares about the person you are becoming. Yoga is designed for a vast and profound purpose, and for it to be truly called yoga, its essence must be embodied.

MY JOURNEY

After years of stress, anxiety, and a mind riddled with negativity and limiting beliefs, I found yoga in 2016 by following the strong desire in my heart to heal. I fell in love not only with the physical asana but with the spiritual and energetic aspects of the practice. The powerful connection of mind and body through movement and breath have given my life more meaning and have allowed me to live life more authentically on and off the mat. An essential moment came when I realized that in order for my outer world to change, I have to first change within. The transformation that occurred in my life has been so powerful that this led me to want to share the healing power of yoga with you.

I am passionate about making yoga accessible to all and I seek to make my classes a place where you can cultivate self-acceptance, balance, stillness, abundance, love, compassion and use movement and breath to transform mind, body, spirit.

I was a high school Spanish teacher for 18 years. I enjoy exploring new places, adventure, time in nature, the beach, traveling, reading, learning about different cultures, and connecting with friends and family. I continue to live my yoga by deepening my mindfulness, intuition, and truth, practicing self-care, and keeping an open heart and an open mind. I enjoy life to the fullest by living with purpose and following my bliss.
